Editorial Policy
How our edge AI guides are researched, written, sourced, corrected and kept up to date — and how our commercial interests are disclosed.
Who writes our guides
Guides on this website are written and maintained by the EdgeAIIndia Editorial Team — the people at EdgeAIIndia who plan, size and deploy edge AI systems. Guides are published under the team byline rather than invented individual personas. Each guide shows the date it was first published and the date it was last updated.
What we cover
EdgeAIIndia covers running AI at the edge in India: what edge AI is, edge AI hardware (AI cameras, embedded modules and gateways, accelerators, appliances, industrial PCs and edge servers), computer vision and CCTV analytics, industrial and retail use cases, offline and private AI at the edge, and how deployments are planned and operated.
How we research
- Technical statements are checked against primary sources — manufacturer documentation, standards bodies and the official documentation of open-source projects — and those sources are listed at the end of each guide.
- Where a figure is a vendor's own claim (for example a TOPS rating), we say so. We do not publish benchmark or performance numbers that we have not measured ourselves, and we do not present estimates as test results.
- Legal and regulatory topics are described for orientation only; they are not legal advice.
How recommendations are made
- Workload first. We recommend categories of hardware from the workload — streams, models, latency, environment, connectivity — rather than starting from a product.
- Vendor-neutral. Guides compare classes of hardware (NPU, GPU, accelerators, form factors) and name vendors only where it helps a reader find documentation.
- Trade-offs stated. Every approach has limits — we describe them, including when edge AI is not the right answer.
Commercial disclosure
EdgeAIIndia designs and supplies edge AI deployments. That means we have a commercial interest in the topics we write about. Our guides are written to be useful whether or not you work with us, and when a guide describes the kind of system we deploy, we say so plainly.
- No manufacturer or vendor pays for placement or coverage in our guides.
- We do not currently use affiliate links. If that ever changes, affected links will be clearly labelled.
- We do not publish sponsored content.
Corrections
If you find an error, please tell us through the contact form. When we correct a factual error in a guide, we fix it, update the guide's "Updated" date and — where the correction changes a recommendation or a figure — add a short correction note at the end of the guide.
Updates and dates
Edge AI hardware, runtimes and regulations change quickly. Guides are reviewed and updated as the topics change; the "Updated" date on each guide reflects the last substantive revision, not cosmetic edits.
Responsible computer vision
Our computer-vision content focuses on operational analytics — safety, flow, occupancy and processes. We do not promote facial recognition or identity tracking, and our deployments do not enable them by default.
